Mrs. Flora Opal Wingate, 95, of Newnan, died Monday, November 30, 2020 at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation.

Born January 24, 1925, in Palmetto, daughter of the late William Clinton Nestlehutt and the late Sarah Anna Parrott Nestlehutt. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Fred Wingate; second husband, Robert Walker; and son, Dennis Wingate.

Survivors include her son, Larry Wingate (Glenda); daughters, Cynthia Shaw (Marvin), Jan Wingate (Daniel Baldwin), Beth Stricklin and Paula Steele Whitmoyer (Doug); sister, Betty Guthrie; brother, Edward Nestlehutt; 15 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn, immediately following the visitation.
