Mrs. Evelyn N. Morris, 83, of Newnan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Cornith Road Personal Care Home.

Born January 30, 1939, in Copenhagen, Denmark, she immigrated to the United States at an early age and spent the majority of her early years in Miami, Florida, traveling to Denmark for the summers as a young woman. Evelyn moved to Newnan, Georgia with her children in 1976 to enjoy a quiet life. She retired from Flat Creek Country Club after 20 years of service. After retirement Evelyn enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling with her children, and rescuing feral cats. She was an avid pet lover, and all that knew Evelyn, knew her love of cats. Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte B. Neilson; and brother, Thorhen Behrens.

Survivors include her children, Donna Owens (Tony), Dianne Miller (Keith), Gene Morris (Marie), and Jimmy Morris; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
