Eugene Clinton Ford (Clint, 84) and Nellie Jo Ford (Jo, 82), husband and wife of 64 years, have gone home to Heaven to be with the Lord. They each took their last breath just two weeks apart, for the love they had cultivated since marrying in 1960 could not withstand them being apart.

Clint and Jo had built a life they truly loved. Clint worked for Delta until retirement while Jo enjoyed her duties as a housewife and mother. Together, they had two children, Terry and Kristi, who were their pride and joy. Today, they are survived by a family that loves them dearly- daughter Kristi Grace and her spouse Kevin Grace, grandchildren and spouses Christopher and Meg Ford, Kaley and Joshua Elam, Kensie and Hunter Campbell, and Ian Grace. Clint and Jo also have three great grandchildren, Noah, Eli, and Shepard. Longtime residents of Jackson, GA, the lake was their happy place. Affectionately known as the "Sugar Shack," Clint and Jo's most fond memories were made at their home on the water. Clint and Jo also loved being part of Southpoint Jackson, where you could find them serving as greeters by the front door, often adorned in matching outfits. Though their presence will be greatly missed, their family is comforted by the certainty that they are healed and whole in the presence of their Maker, united with dear loved ones, and together once again. Clint and Jo's legacy of love and great faith will last forever in our hearts and minds. A celebration of life service will be held at Southpoint Church in Jackson, GA on Saturday, October 5th at 1:00 p.m.
