Mr. Ernest Ray Horton, 74, of Newnan, died tragically, during a house fire, on Monday, June 17, 2024.

Born September 9, 1949, in LaGrange, he was a son of the late Robert C. Horton and the late Eula V. Swanson Horton. Mr. Horton was the husband of Fannie Lee Horton and loved her unconditionally for 57 years. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with family. He loved watching the grandkids grow up, and was the best dad any kid could ask for.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Oscar and Kayla Bonner; grandchildren, Alenna, Hudson, and Walker; nephew, Oscar Bonner (Roxann), and Chris Bonner (Lisa); nieces, Nina Bryson (Bill), and Terri Kendrick (John).

The funeral service for Mr. & Mrs. Horton will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.
