Mrs. Elsie Louise Shelnutt, 84, of Newnan, passed away, on Monday, July 15, 2024, at her residence.

Born September 12, 1939, in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Homer Morrow and the late Mary Parker Morrow. Mrs. Shelnutt was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and loved them dearly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Donald Shelnutt, Sr.; sons, William Donald Shelnutt, Jr. and Dennis Lee Shelnutt; and sister, Frances Horton.

Survivors include her son, David Scott Shelnutt (Norma); grandchildren, Jessica Shelnutt, Kristal Colwell (Chris), Denise Vanpatton (Matthew), Candice Rowell (Kevin), Andrea Shelnutt, Amanda Shelnutt-Manning (Nicholas); great grandchildren, Mason Smith, Ryan Rowell, Mackenzie Colwell, Abel Whitehead, Ava Shelnutt, Elijah Whitehead and Kaleb Rowell; and niece, Sharon Parrish (Robert).

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Lee's Chapel Cemetery in Carrollton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
