Mrs. Ellen Bentley, 70, of Newnan, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born October 31, 1951, in Clem, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Harold Jordan and the late Virginia Shoemake Jordan. Ellen was of the Baptist Faith and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed feeding the birds and planting a flower garden, and she dearly loved her two cats.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Larry Bentley; children, Shane Bentley, Chris Bentley (Cara), and Shadoe Bentley, all of Newnan; brothers, Doyal Jordan (Rachel) of Douglasville, and Randy Jordan (Brenda) of Center, AL; sisters, Vickie Younis, and Susan Jackson (Larry), all of Newnan; grandchildren, Cody Bentley, Ashley Bentley, Melinda Bentley, Tori Amorso, Alisha Link, and Emily Gann; 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
