Obituary

Elizabeth "Libbie" Louise Reddekopp, 75, of Newnan, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Born on January 16, 1951, in Highland Park, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Cecil Wilson and the late Elizabeth Madeline Townes Wilson. Libbie lived a life marked by unwavering care and authenticity, touching the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Libbie devoted her professional career to the well-being of others, working as a Unit Secretary in various emergency rooms and urgent cares in Michigan. In this vital role, she was a steadfast presence amidst urgency and uncertainty, always embodying a calm and compassionate spirit. Known for her loving nature, Libbie cherished family above all else. Time with her grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, their laughter and hugs brightening her days. Family excursions to various State Parks reflected her adventurous spirit and her love of nature’s simple beauties. Her passion for flowers and gardening flourished in the nurturing care she lavished on her garden, where blooms stood as a testament to her gentle touch. Libbie was also a gifted cook, with a special penchant for preparing treasured old family recipes alongside her son. The kitchen was a place where love was stirred into every dish, creating memories as rich and satisfying as the meals themselves. She delighted in taking rides in her son’s Corvette, feeling the thrill of the open road and the wind that whispered freedom. Libbie’s leaves behind a world brighter for her presence, forever remembered as a caring soul who sought the best for everyone. Her memory will continue to blossom like the flowers she so tenderly nurtured, a living tribute to a life beautifully lived. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Hawley.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Craig (Donald), and Marc Reddekopp; grandchildren, Colin Craig (Madison), and Evan Craig; and nieces, Kimberly Molner, and LaRee Harnadek.
