Edwin Eugene Whitten, 30, of Newnan, died Monday, October 23, 2023.

Born July 29, 1993, in McDonough, he was a son of Wendy Michelle Webb and Eugene Whitten. Edwin was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Moreland and was a graduate of Greenville High School. Edwin was a talented musician who played the piano, guitar, and drums, among others, completely by ear, and also loved to sing. He loved his son and his momma very much, and he enjoyed caring for the elderly.

Survivors include his son, Kadence D. Porter; mother, Wendy Webb; father, Eugene Whitten; uncles, Donnie Whitten, and Ronnie Whitten; aunts, Elaine Caldwell, Bonnie Hammond, Patsy Faulkner, Lucy Whitten, and Regina Whitten; and uncle & aunt, Donnie Shelton (Doris).

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Southside Baptist Church in Moreland with Pastor Donnie Shelton officiating.
