Mr. Edmond McDaniel Merritt, 74, of Newnan, died Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at his residence.

Born February 20, 1950, in Dothan, Alabama, he was a son of the late Edmond Robinson Merritt and the late Edith Reddick Merritt. Mr. Merritt was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War, and worked as a printer for many years with Foote & Davies. He was a people person and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his sisters, Anita Shipman, Elaine Brown, and Lola Merritt; brothers, Randy Merritt (Cathy), and Wilton Merritt; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
