Mr. Donald McLendon, 82, of Newnan, widower of the late Betty Jo Meacham McLendon, died Saturday, March 5, 2022, at his residence.

Born February 12, 1940, in Newnan, he was a son of the late Paul McLendon, and the late Sophie Smith McLendon. Donald was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Playtex. He enjoyed the outdoors, growing flowers, and cutting wood. He also raised animals of all kinds.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Billy Meacham; sister-in-law, Bernice Meacham; and numerous nieces and nephews, including David Bradley, Darlene Whitlock, Ellon Love (Leonard), and Glenn Meacham; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 7, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
