Obituary

Mrs. Deborah Lynn Long, 58, of Newnan, died Monday, April 5, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Deborah was born on May 29, 1962, in Allentown, PA. She held a Master's degree in Education Administration and Supervision from the State University of West Georgia. She held a career in education for 30 years and was currently employed as a 3rd grade teacher for Trinity Christian School in Sharpsburg. She loved the Lord and attended SonRise Baptist Church. Deborah was a loving wife and mother and was loved by all her family, students, and colleagues.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Gailer; and her brother, Jeff Gailer.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Brian Long; daughter, Heather Long; father, Ted Gailer (Alta); sister, Denise Jostes (Alan); brothers, John Gailer (Susanna) and David Gailer (Donna); and host of other family members and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Hillcrest Chapel with Reverend John Gailer, Pastor Fayez Ayoub and Pastor Khalil Ayoub officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. During both the visitation and service, all social distancing guidelines must be followed; masks are also recommended.
