Mr. David "Vic" Wooten, 69, of Newnan, passed away, Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Born September 18, 1953, in Atlanta, to Margaret "Maggie" Wooten and the late David Lee Wooten. He was also preceded in death by his stepson, Jason Dutton.

Vic loved being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed working with his hands, gardening, building things and cooking.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Sandra Wooten; daughter, Meghan Wooten (Bryan) and her children, Brooklyn, Layla and Carter; son, Jason Sierra and his son, Davin; stepdaughter, Amanda Marsh and her children, Cole, Zach and Conner; stepson, Jeremy Dutton and his children, Isabella, Jaden, Kensley and Brayden; additional grandchildren, Ashton, Mica and others; and brother and sister-in-law, Bubba and Pam Wooten, and their children, Holley and Dennis Thacker and Charlie and Tabitha Wooten; brother, Eric Wooten; and nephews, Braylen, Brantley, Brady, Wyatt and Rhett.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Hillcrest Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
