Mr. Coeburn Murphy, 92, of Newnan, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Westhill Newnan Crossing.

Born February 19, 1933, in Avondale, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Robert Vernon Murphy and the late Arilla Bell Mitchell Murphy. Mr. Murphy served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as an aviation electrician. After his service in the Navy, Mr. Murphy held several different jobs before beginning his career in sales with Riverside Manufacturing, retiring in 1995 after 20 years of service. Mr. Murphy was a hard worker and enjoyed sports and NASCAR. He also enjoyed working in his yard and was very meticulous about its appearance. Above all, Mr. Murphy loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Anita Laverne Wall Murphy; son, Russell Murphy (Sherry Cabiness); daughter, Vicki Jarck (Paul); grandchildren, Cristi Johnson, Adam Murphy, Maxwell Jarck, and Chase Jarck; great-grandchildren, Noah Stroud, Stella Stroud, and Samuel Johnson; and sisters, Carolyn Gaughan (Clark), and Patricia Slack (John).

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
