Mr. Charlie Edward Reynolds, Sr., 74, of Newnan, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Born January 11, 1950, in Baxley, he was a son of the late Jonathan Lee Reynolds and the late Juanita Tillman. Mr. Reynold's retired from Cannongate Golf Course, where he worked in grounds maintenance.  He was known to many as the "Watermelon Man", having sold watermelons to the Coweta County community for many years, at his residence.  He never met a stranger and enjoyed conversation with anyone that crossed his path. He also enjoyed spontaneous travel and had an adventurous spirit. He was also preceded in death by grandson, Jonathan Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Roxanne Reynolds; children, Niki Beasley (Marcus), Latisha Dutton (Stephen), Charlie Edward Reynolds, Jr. and Jonathan Edward Reynolds (Melissa); grandchildren, Jaymi, Charlie, Britlee, Amanda, Lexie, Frances, Shelby, Dylan, Dakota and Daniel; 6 great grandchildren; and siblings, Shirley Davis and Donald Reynolds (Cecilia).

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Rodney Roquemore officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, at the funeral home.
