Charles R. Bennett, Jr., 66, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at his residence.

Charles was born on April 28, 1959, in Oceanside, CA, to the late Charles R. Bennett, Sr. and the late Gloria B. Crist. He graduated high school in Lithonia, GA, and immediately joined the US Navy. After proudly serving his country, he drove a semitruck for many years before retiring and helping take care of his mother. He enjoyed fishing, horseshoes and watching soccer and golf. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Michelle Bennett.

Survivors include his children, Kyara Bennett, Patricia Kusuma (Rama), Lacey Miranda (Cenovio), Mary Bryan (Anthony Bowen) and Kyle Riegle; grandchildren, Xavier, Tyrion, Jupiter, Ivy, Bennett, Denver, River, Jack, Georgia and Kynnedy ; siblings, Jennifer Bennett and Donald Ray Bennett; niece, Tiffany Howington; and numerous other family members.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel.
