Mr. Charles Edwin Almond, Sr., age 75, of Newnan, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his residence.

Born May 5, 1945 in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Joe Almond and the late Lillian Almond. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Lillie Mallett. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Dian Almond; son, Charles Almond, Jr. (Lori); daughters, Lisa Baker and Jo Anne Turman (Todd); grandchildren, Aaron, Justin, Kayla and Brandon; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Curtis Almond, Roger Dale Almond, Joe Almond and Gary Almond; and sister, Belinda Jenkins.

Private funeral services will be held at Hillcrest Chapel.
