Mrs. Cathy Darlene Higgins, 55, of Heflin, Alabama, died Friday, June 10, 2022, at her residence.

Born October 11, 1966, in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late Bobby Frank Martin and the late Ollie Hurley Martin. Cathy was a strong and loving woman all through the struggles she faced in this life. She enjoyed the little things, with her sunglasses on, classic rock station playing, the time spent with her family and the unconditional love of her dogs.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Landers (Render) of Graham, Alabama; son, Alan Higgins of Heflin; brother, Ricky Martin of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Helen Dailey of Las Vegas, and Faye Ferguson of Palmetto; granddaughter, Mina Landers; and her former husband, Richard Higgins.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the graveside, in Floral Hill Cemetery in Palmetto.
