Mrs. Carolyn Marie Leverette, 67, of Newnan, died Monday, December 30, 2024, at her residence.

Born August 5, 1957, in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late Fred Lee Waldrip and the late Cammie Mae Stephens Porterfield. Mrs. Leverette was of the Baptist Faith and was well known and liked from her time working at The Washing Well. She loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed crocheting, going to thrift stores, and decorating her home for every holiday. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Michael Leverette, husband, George Eugene McLendon, a sister, Shirley Waldrip, and a brother, Jimmy Waldrip.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Lewis Samples (Christy), and Timothy Lee Leverette; brothers, Jerry Waldrip (Debbie), and Ray Waldrip; her twin sister, Martha Kelly; grandchildren, Payton Samples, Megan Samples, Isabella Samples, Jesse Samples, Ethan Leverette, Alisha Kelly, Briana Wood, Payton Meadows, and McKenzie Meadows; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the graveside, in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hillcrest Chapel on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
