Bruce Elliott James, 70, of Grantville, died Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.

Born May 13, 1955, in Marion, Ohio, he was a son of Patricia Ann Brothers James and the late Richard Eugene James. Bruce was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Douglasville and worked for many years as a truck driver. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca James, and a brother, Leslie James.

Survivors include his sons, Christopher James (Carla), and Jesse Cole; his mother, Patricia A. James; brother, David James; sisters, Beverly James, and Holly Smith; and grandchildren, Christian and Charlie.

The family will hold a private service.
