Mrs. Betty Jean Sterling, 70, of Sharpsburg, passed away, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Newnan Piedmont Hospital.

Born July 20, 1954, in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late Harland Bryant Noland and the late Betty Jean Griffin Noland. Betty worked in the daycare industry for many years, where she taught, cooked and cared for children. She was a sweet soul who loved children and animals. She enjoyed arts and crafts, coloring books, crossword puzzles, watching horror movies, her cats and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Stacy Findley and Mary Davis; brothers, Jerry Noland and Johnny Noland; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Noland.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, James Haynes; daughter, Rebecca Easterwood (Rick Acree); son, John Davis (Kristina); grandchildren, Austin Barfield, Dylan Davis, Connor Davis, Justin Easterwood, Kelly Easterwood, Katie Easterwood, Britney Findley, Ashlie Findley, Courtney Findley, Jonathan Findley and Bryant Conkle; sister, Judy Landrum (Phillip); brothers, Joey Noland (Lorraine) and Jeff Noland (Robin); son-in-law, Eugene Finley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the funeral home
