Mrs. Azzie Lee Hudson Faulkner, 93, of Newnan, died Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her residence.
Born June 25, 1926 in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Luther Calvin Hudson and the late Dessie Lee Morrow Hudson. Mrs. Faulkner was a member of Grace Baptist Church and attended Cedar Creek Baptist Church, she loved going to church and attended every available church function. She loved fishing, cooking and reading the newspaper. She also enjoyed going to auctions and sitting on her porch watching the birds and the squirrels. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Edward Faulkner; two brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Denver H. Kittles (Nancy) of Athens, Robert Lee Kittles (Debbie) of Sharpsburg, Frankie Kittles (Beverly) of Newnan, and Robert David Jones of Newnan; daughters, Judy Wright (Marion) of Newnan, Mary Louise Smith of Carrollton, Dinah Atkins (Randy) of Newnan, Sarah Sumerlin (Tommy) of Florence, SC, and Megan Stroud (David) of Newnan; sister, Mary Ruth Fowler (Lewis) of Buchanan; 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Carl Calhoun, Pastor Russell Arrington, Pastor Mike Sprayberry, and Pastor David Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Gene Kittles, John Lee Hendrix, Wayne Kittles, Frankie Noles, Brian Brown, and Kelby Kittles. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Costley, Timmy Hightower, Robert Kittles, Jr., Josh Bishop, and Adam Brown.
