Archie "Ray" Janney, Jr., 68, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2025, at Brightmoor Hospice.

Born September 1, 1957, in Troup County to the late Archie Ray Janney, Sr. and Joyce Janney. He retired from Lowes as delivery driver after 25 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed the outdoors whether that was hunting, fishing or gardening. He loved spending time with family, especially his kids and grandkids. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Ethan Hannah.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife of 49 years, Deborah Janney; daughter, Lisa Hannah (Eric); son, Jason Janney; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and 4 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Carl Calhoun and Dustin Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday at the funeral home.
