Mrs. Anita Loverne Murphy, 86, of Newnan, died Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Benton House of Newnan.

Born April 23, 1939, in Montcalm, West Virginia, she was the youngest of twelve children born to the late John M. Wall and the late Ida Bell Brown Wall. Mrs. Murphy was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal friend. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went, embracing life with a vibrant spirit and an infectious enthusiasm. Renowned for her culinary talents, she delighted family and friends with her excellent cooking. Her passion for gardening and flowers was evident in the beauty she cultivated around her home, and she found great happiness in music and dancing. Alongside her parents, Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Coeburn Murphy, as well as six brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her son, Russell Murphy (Sherry); daughter, Vicki Jarck (Paul); grandchildren, Cristi Johnson, Adam Murphy, Maxwell Jarck, and Chase Jarck; great-grandchildren, Noah Stroud, Stella Stroud, and Samuel Johnson; and sisters-in-law, Pat Slack, and Carolyn Gaughan.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
