Ms. Amy Susan Hackney 53, of Newnan, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born September 9, 1968, in Alexandria, Virginia, she was a daughter of Jerald Clinton Hackney and Susan Mae Cooper Wood. Amy was of the Methodist Faith and worked for the Department of Defense Schools. She loved cars and trucks and loved her family. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Susan Hackney, and grandparents, Elmira Furlong, Yelbert L. Cooper, Jr., Rhoda Irene Richmond, and Ellis Hackney.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her sons, Austin Huffman (Taylor) of Fairburn, Dylan Huffman (Brooke) of Newnan, and Nash Edward Saxon of Columbus; brothers, Charles Hackney, Sr. of Boston, VA, and Shawn Hackney of Woodbridge, VA; sister, Shannon Jones of Strasburg, VA; and grandchildren, Declan Huffman, Stella Rae Huffman, and one on the way.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
