Weaver
July 19, 1941 – December 25, 2025
Allen Thaxton Weaver, 84 of Newnan, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Newnan.
He was born on July 19, 1941, to the late Byron Weaver and the late Edna Strickland Weaver. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Dodd; and brother, Rupert Weaver. Throughout his career, Allen was a respected manager at Big Star and Quality Foods (Food Depot), where he was known for his hard work and dedication until his retirement. His professionalism and integrity left a lasting impact on his colleagues and those he served in the community.
As a devout Christian, Allen was an active member of Westside Baptist Church, where he touched many lives through his role as a senior class teacher. His deep faith was evident in his everyday actions and the gentle guidance he offered to all who knew him.
An avid model train collector, Allen's enthusiasm for his hobby was infectious. He devoted an entire room in his home to his collection, which became a symbol of his attention to detail and the joy he found in intricate craftsmanship. His love for travel was shared with his wife, Syble, as they embarked on numerous journeys together, creating a tapestry of memories that will be treasured forever.
Those who knew Allen will remember him as a loving husband, a generous father, and a faith-filled friend. His kind smile and warm embrace were a haven to his family, and his wisdom and encouragement were the cornerstones of their growth. Allen's life was a testament to the values he held dear: love, generosity, and faith. His presence was a gift to all who had the privilege of walking alongside him in life's journey. As we say goodbye to Allen Thaxton Weaver, we celebrate the remarkable man he was and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
Allen is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Syble J. Weaver, and their loving children: Audra Love (Tracy), Tara Vaughn (Steve), Jeff Weaver (Winona), Debra Rainwater (David), and Leigh Ratliff (William). His legacy continues through his 8 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, and the joyous laughter of his 29 great-grandchildren. He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings Lenora Weaver, Renee Manning (Tommy), Gerald Weaver (Ann), and Donald Weaver, as well as his son-in-law, Gregg Dodd.
