Mr. Alan James Johnson, 66, of Homer, GA passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at his residence.

He was born May 6, 1955, in Avon Park, FL, to the late Leon E. Johnson, Sr. and the late Sarah Elizabeth Wingate Johnson. Alan loved photography, music, was an exceptionally gifted guitar player and above all he loved the Lord Jesus Christ. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon J. Pettway and Paul B. Pettway, Sr.

Survivors include brother, Leon E. Johnson, Jr. (Fran) of Newnan; nephews, Paul B Pettway, Jr. (Phyllis) and James E. Pettway (Angela); niece, Sarah Dominick (Michael); and numerous cousins, friends and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Hillcrest Chapel with Dr. John Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
