Nancy Darlene (Foster) Rutherford

Mrs. Nancy Darlene Foster Rutherford, 65, of Grantville, widow of the late Elbert J. “Jack” Rutherford, Sr. died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Southwest Christian Hospice.

Born November 4, 1953 in Newnan, she was a daughter of the late William Barnell Foster and the late Dorothy Rooker Smith.  Mrs. Rutherford was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and was retired from the Wal-Mart on Bullsboro Drive.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being active in her Church.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, James Anthony Lumpkins and Gerald Lumpkins; and a brother, Ray Edward Foster

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Catir (Mark) of Winston, GA, and Christy Rutherford (Jeremy Long) of Grantville; son, Elbert J. “EJ” Rutherford, Jr. of Grantville; brother, Danny Foster (Candy) of Franklin; sisters, Cindy Blair of Calhoun and Janice Foster of LaGrange; grandchildren, Nikki, Marylou, Angel, Ashley, Kayla, Allen, Mark Jr. “Mac”, Payton, and TJ; great-grandchildren, Haley, William, Dakota, and Kaiden.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church with The Reverend Brian Hosmer officiating.
