Mrs. Marie Antoinette Abelt, 71, of Sharpsburg, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Abelt was born on December 31, 1947 in Rayville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawson “Hank” and Pearl Hankins; and husband, George Abelt.
Survivors include her daughters, Roxie Marie Stamper (David), Wendy Leigh Latham (Andy), Amanda Michelle Bright (Joey); son, Jesse Ray Anderson, Jr.; sisters, Prima Amour Hankins and Patricia Jones; brothers, Leo Jackson, Jr. and Lawson Addison Hankins III; grandchildren, Nicole Martinez, Carmen Stamper, Justin Anderson, Cassidy Stamper, Cody Stamper, Drew Latham, Dylan Anderson, Luke Latham, David Bright, Bryce Bright and Parker Bright; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mrs. Abelt will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Richard Reagan will be speaking on behalf of the family. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
